Beto O’Rourke has officially announced his 2020 presidential bid in a video sitting beside his wife, Amy, and well, he undeniably used a lot of hand gestures.
So, of course, Jimmy Fallon worked plenty of them into his impersonation of the former Texas congressman in a sketch on The Tonight Show on Thursday.
“Who’s the real Beto O’Rourke? Well, I’m sort of like if a compassionate head nod turned into a person,” said Fallon/O’Rourke, wielding furious hand movements. “I’m like if your friend’s hot dad had the energy of a golden retriever.”
“The truth is, I care. I care so much. When I eat salads, I thank every individual leaf for its sacrifice,” he added, before donating blood until the very last possible second.
